Easy Homemade Granola

An easy homemade granola recipe using real, wholesome ingredients.
Ingredients
  • 6 cups organic rolled oats (I prefer old fashioned, but quick oats will work too)
  • 1 cup organic shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup organic unrefined coconut oil
  • ¼ butter
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the coconut oil and butter.
  3. Pour over the oats mixture. Add the honey and vanilla and combine everything well.
  4. Divide between (2) greased (with butter) 13" x 9" pans.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Stir, making sure to scrape the sides (or they will burn), and return to the oven.
  6. Bake 5 minutes, stir, return to oven.
  7. Bake 5 minutes and remove from oven to cool. If you'd like your granola to be darker, increase the bake time by 5 minutes.
  8. Cool completely before storing.
  9. After baking, feel free to add dried fruits, berries, or other desired additions.
